The Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese is seeking a temporary Reading Recovery Tutor for a full-time or part-time temporary basis in Term 4 2024.

You will be accountable for:

- Providing professional support for 30 trained Reading Recovery teachers (3 OPL groups) and their 120 students encompassing scheduled tutor visits, specialist guidance for fine-tuning teaching for children who are particularly hard-to-teach
- Monitoring the progress of all students taught by Reading Recovery teachers through the collection and analysis of text level graphs and monthly attendance sheets throughout the term
- Planning and delivering three OPL sessions (3 x half days - 31 October, 1st November & 7 November)
- Providing training for classroom teachers in administering and analysing EYA An Observation Survey of Early Literacy Achievement 240174 - 21st October, 2024 (8 instructional hours)
- Planning and delivering Responsive Literacy for Trained Reading Recovery teachers PLC 240191 (18 November)
- Planning and facilitating the Reading Recovery Training /Trained Teachers’ Graduation (29th November)
- Collecting and collating the results of the November Monitoring of Year 2 and Year 3 students who have discontinued from Reading Recovery.
- Collecting, collating and analysing student data and collaborating to prepare the 2024 Annual Reading Recovery Site Report for CSPD (Term 4 Week 10)
- Collecting and discussing data for each student including the Initial and Final Observation Survey Summaries, Predictions of Progress, Recommendations for Discontinuation
- Consulting with school teams regarding the referral of any student who requires additional ongoing support
- Contributing to the work of the Literacy Team and attending scheduled meetings as required throughout the term
