Assistant Store Manager

As an **Assistant Store Manager** reporting to the Store Manager, you will be based in** Clyde, NSW**. You will help achieve sales and profitability growth for the assigned store, through leadership and development of the store team.
You will also undertake operational responsibility for the assigned store in the absence of the Store Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
- Help the Store Manager reach revenue and growth targets in consideration of the store’s goals and individuals.
- Plan, direct, and participate in the operations of the store on a shift basis.
- Lead a sales approach that maximises value by focusing on the features and benefits of PPG products, and our service proposition.
- Support marketing and promotional plans maximising sales potential.
- Maximise the potential of customer relationships.
- Operate point of sale system and prepare sales invoices following company policy.
- Help manage expenses, inventory, and stock taking into consideration of P&LP goals.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Uphold and maintain the highest levels of Safety through driving consistency in toolbox talks, online training, and in-store EH&S practices.
- Attend PPG state-based training.
- Help with the training of staff.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail, customer-focused environment, or similar role.
- A valid Driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and handle up to 20 kgs.
- Paint industry experience is not mandatory - training can be provided.
