**Motor Trades Underwriter** to join our dedicated National Motor Trades team.

**It will be your responsibility to**:

- Provide quotations for new business, renewals and endorsements aligned to the Underwriting Strategy, maintain regard to the needs and circumstances of customers and act as a coach and referral point for other underwriters as per referral processes.
- Manage workflows, such as new business, renewals and endorsements, to ensure delivery of quality products and services.
- Manage relationships across a designated portfolio, with a focus on underwriting commercial insurances as per delegated authority limits.
- Anticipate and provide solutions to customers’ needs from available information, to design sustainable responses to suit their circumstances.
- Ensure business offering is aligned with divisional objectives, portfolio balance and Cycle Management strategies (growth and profit).
- Maximise retention of assigned accounts and ensure timely review of renewal business in conjunction with internal stakeholders’ requirements.
- Stay abreast of market conditions and trends, maintain a market presence in the region and Line of Business community within Allianz, provide regular feedback to stakeholders on performance and take action to capitalise on business opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate actions are taken to ensure all contract certainty targets are adhered to.

**Important to your success**:

- Experience underwriting commercial risk is expected.
- A profile within the broking community and a reputation for providing a high quality of service would be welcomed.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/ or legislative compliance requirements.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgments and solutions.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
