About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join the Board of Directors as the Chair. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated Board and contribute to the strategic direction and governance of an organisation that makes a real difference in the lives of those they serve.

Your key area of focus is on the provision of leadership and direction to the Board ensuring effective governance practices, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Working closely with the CEO, the Chair supports the execution of the organisation’s strategic plan facilitating open communication and collaboration among Board members and between the Board and senior management.

We anticipate your proven experience, ideally as a Chair, but certainly as a Non-Executive Director, provides you with clarity on the functional role of the Chair, acting with integrity, bringing a contemporary approach to leadership and governance, and have demonstrated knowledge of the applicable legal, ethical and fiduciary responsibilities held. Your executive or non-executive experience is likely to have exposed you to the ‘for purpose’ sector and this experience is underpinned by formal governance qualifications (e.g., GAICD, GIA or equivalent.)
