**Purpose of Role**

We are currently seeking a commercially aware Finance Professional to join our team based in Adelaide, SA. Reporting into the Head of Group Commercial Finance, this flexible role requires you to provide critical accounting and commercial finance support to the Business Unit.

This role is has a high level of autonomy and is critical in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting to management, the board and the market.

**Key aspects of this role will include but not be limited to**:

- Monthly financial accounting and reporting to Group
- Providing proactive financial & commercial advice, planning & reporting and analytical insights to the business unit in relation to business unit performance.
- Knowing what drives the business. Undertake extensive financial and operational analysis on key metrics, understand the drivers of the business and generate realisable actions to close variances between actuals and target.
- Own and articulate the business units’ actual results, monthly forecast and annual budget.
- Playing a key role in the implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Ability and confidence to challenge the business to improve areas of performance.
- Working collaboratively with a highly driven team to establish best practice.
- Proactively identify key focus areas for deep dives to unpack and improve visibility.
- Act as a bridge between the business and finance teams, supporting both functions.

**To be considered for this role your skills **and attributes should include**:

- CA qualified with post-qualification experience. Top-tier professional services or large corporate experience desirable.
- A high performer with a great attitude, strong track record of achievement and a passion to improve the business.
- Ability to deliver in a fluid and fast paced environment.
- Ability to act as a connector, operating across the business to create efficiencies in the capture, analysis and reporting of information (financial & operational).
- Presence and a proactive style that builds relationships across all levels of stakeholder groups.
- Track record of being able to proactively identify, break down, articulate and escalate complex problems, and then suggest and drive solutions.
