Due to our continued growth and commitment to exceed customer expectations, Kent require a Regional Quality Manager. The role will be based in the Kent corporate office in Perth. In this role you will be expected to travel at times to our regional and Project offices located throughout Australia.
- Initially, this role will be hands-on and require you to be active on current Projects, most of which are in the early stages of execution. As the Project portfolio grows to a level which supports direct on Project QA/QC, you will be required to recruit suitably qualified resource(s) for Projects. Once the Projects are resourced, your role will then migrate to oversight of the function in Australia at where you will be working across the service lines, to effectively manage our Australian Quality management program to ensure quality accreditations are maintained, quality procedures are up to date, and the management of the NCR program is resulting in sustained improvement.
- At all times you are expected to work proactively with all Directors, Managers, Supervisors and Employees, to maintain a programme of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility. Lead a ‘correct at source’ and problem-solving methodology (Lean). Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.**Regional Responsibilities**:
- Be the single point of contact in Australia for the Quality Function.
- Engage with the corporate head of quality, based in UAE, and ensure that the Kent corporate standards are being understood, communicated and implemented on projects in Australia.
- Provide input to guidelines, policies, procedures, templates, process flows and forms specific to Australia under the Kent Management System (KMS) library.
- Participate in Proposals, where requested, for any bids being submitted.
- Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders.
- Attend all Project Peer Review monthly meetings to review performance of QA on projects.
- Be actively involved in the establishment of projects under all areas of engineering, procurement and construction for the quality function such as:
- Ensure requirements of KMS are being followed.
- [In time] allocating resource(s) to the projects.
- Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
- Where required, develop key QA/QC deliverables for projects such Quality Management Plan, Audit Schedule, etc.- Implement, operate, and continuously improve the Quality Management System and lead by example by participating in activities that foster a continuous improving culture.
- Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required.
- Understand stakeholder / Executive needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Conduct training to ensure production managers and employees understand quality requirements.
**On-Project Responsibilities (Periodic)**:
- Attend client quality management meetings.
- Monitor the disposition of all issued nonconformance reports.
- Coordinate all QA/QC activities on the project.
