Aldersgate Residential Aged Care was established in 1944 and is home to 115 people. The historic Forsyth House sits at the centre of the grounds. There are landscaped gardens to enjoy, surrounded by nine houses and cottages. It also has the only Specialist Care Dementia Unit (SDCU) in SA.

We are seeking part time Kitchenhands to join our team. We have multiple shifts available, commencing between 7am and 10:15am and finishing between 2pm and 6pm. We also have short 3 hour shifts from 3pm to 6pm available.

**About the role**

The Kitchenhand is responsible for assisting the Cook with the day to day food preparation and delivery. Key duties and responsibilities include:

- Prepare, cook and serve meals as directed
- Ensure kitchen equipment is clean and maintained
- Prepare and maintain dining rooms in a hygienic and safe manner
- Collect meal orders from residents
- Assist with ordering of supplies

**About You**
- Certificate in basic food handling preferred
- Experience in Aged Care hospitality services
- Knowledge of food safety
- A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
- A current COVID-19 vaccination
