Monash Children’s Hospital is one of Australia’s leading providers of integrated children’s health services, with more than 30 specialist services and programs. We have Victoria’s largest Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and provide leading paediatric services in many areas including Rehabilitation, Oncology, Orthopaedics, Developmental Medicine and Neonates.

We currently have 2 Part Time (0.6EFT) Positions available for Allied Health Assistants
- Allied Health Assistant (AHA) - Grade 3 (permanent part time, 0.6 EFT), Monash Children’s Hospital
- **Paediatric Dietetics, Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy**:

- Allied Health Assistant (AHA) - Grade 3 (permanent part time, 0.6 EFT), Monash Children’s Hospital
- **Paediatric Physiotherapy, Social Work and Music Therapy**

**A Day in the Life**:
As a Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant aligned primarily with the dietetics, occupational therapy and speech pathology teams within Monash Children’s you will:

- receive support and training across all areas
- provide clinical and non-clinical support to paediatric inpatients and outpatients and their families across a wide variety of clinical areas under the supervision of Allied Health Professionals.
- also provide support and crossover to the physiotherapy, social work and music therapy teams as required.
- be integral in continuing to develop and lead AHA programs, processes and quality improvement activities.
- provide non-clinical support to the leadership, administration and profession teams as required. This will include things such as assisting in the preparation of specialised infant formula in our Formula Room, monitoring and ordering of allied health equipment and setting up the videofluroscopy suite with speech pathologists
- be responsible for representing the Monash Children’s Allied Health Assistant team at the AHA leadership group meetings and will demonstrate excellence in initiative and program implementation and a commitment to ongoing evaluation and best practice.
- be responsible for managing equipment and stock levels and facilitating the smooth operating of the Therapies Clinic.
- communicate and work effectively in a team as this is pivotal to this role.

This position is well supported by a large allied health team with on-site supervision by senior Allied Health clinical staff. The position offers training and professional development and the opportunity to undertake quality activities and projects.

**What we’re looking for in you**
- A relevant _AHA_ qualification (Certificate IV or equivalent)
- At least 3 years’ experience as an AHA
- Demonstrated clinical skills in working with children
- Preferable experience working across multiple allied health disciplines
- Applications at a Grade 2 AHA level may be considered
