In contributing to drive the overarching vision and purpose, the role of Strategy Lead Water Resources is responsible for the planning and development of water supply resources to ensure security and resilience of Central Coast’s water supply system and defer investments in future water sources. These activities are guided by the Council’s long term water security plans and strategies. This includes providing ongoing technical and management advice on various issues relating to water resources planning and operation. The role should also consider compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and practices in water resources planning.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

**Key activities of this role include**:

- Contribute to the medium and long-term planning and further development of water resources as envisioned in Central Coast Water Security Plan (CCWSP) for a safe and secure water supply including management of projects/consultants and undertaking technical investigations regarding water resources development and enhancement;
- Provide professional technical and management advice across relevant activities including bulk water strategy, increasing supply scheme resilience, operational planning and compliance with statutory standards and practices;
- Foster and develop relationships with internal and external resources, industry partners, water utilities across relevant industry sectors, local government and peak associations, businesses, governmental departments, and agencies;
**_About You:_**
- An essential requirement for this role is a Degree qualification in Civil / Environmental Engineering; Hydrology or related field, combined with ongoing professional development. As well as a Class C Driver's Licence
- Comfortable giving honest feedback and advice and seek to listen and understand when ideas are challenged
- Demonstrate a high level of personal motivation, take opportunities to learn new skills, develop strengths and examine and reflect on own performance;

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $92k to $110k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 10.5% superannuation.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role,** **with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
