We’re looking for a passionate and strategic Regulatory & Compliance Lead to join our Retail Transformation team.

As the Regulatory & Compliance Lead - Regulatory Change and Reporting, you will lead the development of regulatory and compliance capabilities within AGL’s Retail Transformation Program. Your focus will be on:
- Coordinating and tracking regulatory changes impacting the program- Developing systems and processes to meet regulatory and statutory reporting requirements- Partnering with business units to proactively manage regulatory risks- Simplifying regulatory frameworks to support innovation and customer-centric transformation

You’ll work across a wide range of stakeholders, providing expert advice and driving a culture of compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities- Deliver external regulatory compliance reporting and internal management reporting- Monitor and implement new regulatory obligations in collaboration with Retail Transformation and operational teams- Lead regulator engagement, including responses to the Australian Energy Regulator and Essential Services Commission of Victoria- Provide strategic, commercially practical regulatory advice across business units- Mentor and coach a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence- Support initiatives such as product development, marketing, and sales with regulatory insights- Promote a positive compliance culture where risks are openly discussed and addressed

About You

You’re a proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for regulatory excellence and transformation. You bring:
- Prior experience in regulatory or compliance roles within the retail energy industry- Deep understanding of energy regulatory frameworks- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills- A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments- A commitment to best practice and continuous improvement in compliance
