**Position Overview**: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Specialists to join our team in the Gympie area to support a female participant. As a Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing practical assistance, emotional support, and encouragement to individuals with diverse needs. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support, promoting their independence and wellbeing.

**About You**

Discovering You Support Services is seeking support specialists that are experienced, caring and committed to support our female participant to have fun and achieve daily goals such as:

- Provide personalized support to individuals with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources, recreational activities, and social opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with individuals, families, and support networks.
- Monitor and document progress, concerns, and achievements of individuals.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interactions.

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Males and females are encouraged to apply
- Demonstrated, proven experience working with individuals with a disability who may have complex support needs
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Minimum cert 3 required
- NDIS worker screening required
- Blue card required
- Drivers license required
- First aid and CPR required
- NDIS worker modules required
- Manual handling (or willing to obtain)
- Seizure management training (or willing to obtain)
- Mental health training (or willing to obtain)
- Availability to work on a rotating roster required
