**The Opportunity**
We’re seeking a Developmental Educator / NDIS Key Worker to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, empathetic, and values a person-centred, neuroaffirming approach. You’ll support neurodivergent young people through direct engagement, while also guiding families through the NDIS and broader service system to ensure support is truly tailored to their needs.

**As a Developmental Educator we are looking to**:
- Provide individualised learning and development support, focusing on self-determination, life skills, and confidence.
- Provide Functional Capacity Assessments, Sensory profiling and progress reporting
- Deliver play-based, sensory-friendly, and neuro-affirming interventions tailored to each person’s strengths and interests.
- Support executive functioning, emotional regulation, social engagement, and daily living skills in a flexible, low-demand way.
- Offer group and one-on-one programs to help individuals build skills and connections in ways that feel natural to them.
- Work closely with our Employment Coaches, Mentors, Support Workers and Leadership team to ensure a holistic, individualised approach.
- Be the primary contact for families, providing guidance, emotional support, and coordination of services.
- Help families understand and navigate NDIS supports and community resources in a way that aligns with their needs and values.
- Work alongside families to develop flexible and affirming support plans, reducing overwhelm and promoting autonomy.
- Ensure communication between different professionals is seamless and collaborative, advocating for the young person’s best interests.
- Provide education, coaching, and practical strategies for caregivers to support their child’s strengths and needs in daily life.
**Who We’re Looking For**:
- A number of QUALIFIED DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATOR'S (with DEAI membership or working towards it).
- Someone with experience in family-centred practice and service coordination, or a strong interest in taking on a Key Worker role.
- Flexibility - we can look at part-time or full-time roles to fit your lifestyle
- A professional who values collaboration, flexibility, and curiosity, and enjoys thinking outside the box.
- Someone who understands the importance of practical, strategies that support growth and progression, sensory-informed, and strength-based learning.
- A deep commitment to neuro-affirming, trauma-informed support that centres autonomy and self-advocacy.
- Experience in alternative learning approaches, social connection programs, or independent living support is highly valued.
