**We are looking for the “right attitude”**. The Work Health and Safety Lead is a key position with the People, Culture and Safety division. The position is responsible for driving a safety culture across BlueCross. As a trusted business partner, you will provide practical health and safety advice to all levels of employees at BlueCross on a broad range of Health, Safety & Wellbeing matters and contribute to the development, maintenance and continual improvement of BlueCross’s Health Safety Management System.

**Why we want you;**
- You will hold a certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or minimum 2 years in a role
- Sound working knowledge and experience health and safety legislation, practices, and standards
- Ability to complete risk assessments and workplace inspections
- Sound stakeholder relationship management skills including the ability to coach staff
- Demonstrated ability to analyse incidents, identify trends, and recommend potential solutions to reduce incidents
- Current Victorian driver’s license

**What your days will look like;**
- Support the ongoing review and implementation of BlueCross’s Health and Safety Policy and procedures
- Assist the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to develop and roll out initiatives to address key risk areas
- Provide advice to employees and management in relation to work health safety matters.
- Provide advice and technical support to assist management with relevant legislation compliance.
- Provide guidance, advice and support to health and safety consultative committees and Health and Safety Representatives
- Conduct risk assessments and investigations into incidents
- Ensure safety related incidents are resolved appropriately within organisational KPI timeframes, recommendations are provided, and corrective actions implemented to reduce risk and prevent further occurrence of incidents
