**About this Opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator - Mechanical, this role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, installation and repair of machinery and equipment including preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues, performing repairs to minimise downtime and maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.

Key accountabilities include:

- Perform installations, repairs and maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs of repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment overall performance, this includes providing feedback and implementing improvements to procedures.
- Work closely with production staff to minimise disruptions and downtime.

**About You**

To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required:

- A Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent;
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
- Experience with welding using Oxy, Tig and Mig.
- Experience with machining, and fabricating parts.
- Ability to read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment.
