Mechanical Fitter needed for a food manufacturer in Balcatta, up to $45ph depending on experience

Your new company requires a mechanical fitter based in Balcatta, paying up to $45ph depending on experience.

**Your new role**
- Experience in installation, repair and maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably primary food processing industry
- Experience of fault-finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and complex mechanical systems
- Experience of breakdown as well as preventative maintenance
- Ability to identify and introduce improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance
- Routine maintenance functions for the manufacturing facility
- Machine fault-finding to ensure challenging production targets are met and equipment optimisation
- Integral role in an ongoing preventative maintenance program
- Production maintenance, fabrication, repair and close out work orders and use of maintenance software and general computer skills
- Proven skills in the areas of attention to detail, information processing and problem-solving with the ability to multitask

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

- Knowledge of ammonia-based refrigeration systems
- Mechanical Fitter trade certificate
- Inventory management.
- Minimum 3 years proven trade experience post apprenticeship
- Industrial (high volume) food processing experience, particularly frozen food
- Ability to develop and document Standard Operating Procedures
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Have full understanding of HACCP, BRC, WQA
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) Preventative Maintenance Programs (Mex, PC Maint)

**What you'll get in return**

In return, you will receive an hourly rate of up to $45 depending on experience. The role is for 3-6 months with the possibility of an extended period.
