**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.
The Production Analyst is responsible for ensuring optimal production processes across the business unit. You will collect, monitor, and study business and production data to create custom reports that suggest strategic and operational changes that will help control costs, identify process slowdowns and ensure compliance with Industry standards.
**More about the role**
- Undertake short term production analysis, analyse production and performance reports, as well as interpreting results of overall production in order to make solid recommendations
- Develop tools and use statistical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes and production efficiencies
- Business case assessments to support Production Engineers decisions
- Deep dive on production issues into short to medium term period
- Develop and conduct reports, manage meetings, documentation and communications, maintain project schedules and utilise project management tools and technologies as needed
- Support the workover programs (strategy, production wedges, budget input, scenarios etc.)
- Support the Upstream Development Plan in regard to Assumptions & Strategy prep, pack updates, variance commentary and presentation responsibilities
- Support the workover unit rate build up and MTTI assumptions, late life compression/LRP & beam pump that feed UDP and Budget
- Quality assurance of business production deliverables including data remediation as required through the Hydrocarbon Accounting process.
**ABOUT YOU**
You will be a sound communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders. You will have good leadership skills and are a team player, with the proven ability to influence outcomes through negotiation. You will also have a sound understanding of data management plus the ability to make and recommend technical decisions. You will have a high level of initiative and motivation, including the ability to manage multiple projects.
More about you
- Data Analyst background, or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical or similar).
- Minimum five years' experience in the upstream oil/gas or resources sector.
- Detail focus, with ability to prioritise workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Have proven leadership qualities and be a team player
