**About the Assignment**

The primary objective of the this role is to work with the other members of the team to ensure that the Financial Controller - Production Operations is provided with operational financial information and analysis for all operational areas, ensuring analysis for all areas provides a clear understanding of: Business financial performance; Financial Budgets and Forecasts are aligned with planned activity; Financial impacts of key business decisions; Individual cost drivers

**Core accountabilities for the role of Financial Analyst include though are not limited to**:

- Provide business partnering and decision making support to Departmental Managers and Superintendents
- Provide key stakeholders with reporting, analysis, insight and commentary in relation to business performance, including variance against targets, trends, key business drivers and metrics
- Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts, and latest estimates for areas supported
- Month-end accounting including preparation of journals, review of results and completion of appropriate integrity checks prior to ledger close
- Provide support to responses to audit queries
- Contribute to half-year and year-end reporting requirements to Group Finance
- Lead projects focussed on improvement to decision making processes and systems
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision making to Production Operations Management as required
- Key stakeholders: Departmental Managers, Superintendents, Financial Controllers, Finance Manager, Financial Services_

**About You**
- Qualifications in finance, commerce or accounting with CPA or CA
- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel
- High level experience in SAP
- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals
- Flexible, resilient, discreet, quick with thought, relaxed and able to adapt and think outside of the box.
