**CASUAL DISABILITY AND AGED CARE SUPPORT WORKERS WANTED**

Simply Helping Central Highlands and Djerriwarrh is a Registered NDIS Provider and aims to provide skilled and trusted in-home care and support services to add value, meaning and dignity to the lives of our vulnerable community, including NDIS, Aged Care, TAC and Work cover Service Users.

Supporting Service Users in Ballarat, Daylesford, Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, Melton and their surrounding suburbs, Simply Helping is seeking enthusiastic staff who are local, compassionate, and caring in nature while being sensitive to the needs and vulnerability of others.

We have multiple Casual Support Worker positions available at several levels of certification, so whether you are an experienced carer, new to the industry, or currently studying for a certificate, there is a role to suit you and the possibility to move within Simply Helping. We can offer a supportive and inclusive environment where you can keep a flexible schedule and work when and how suits you with Service Users that align with your qualifications and experience.

**Personal Care Attendant**:

- Certificate IV in Disability Care, Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent.
- Relevant tertiary students in Nursing and Allied Health also considered

**Home and Community Support Worker**:

- Cert III Home and Community Care or equivalent.
- Relevant vocational students in Disability and Aged Care also considered.

**Home Helper**:

- Non-certified with cleaning experience.

**Duties may include the following**:
As a support worker in our team, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily living skills, assisting with social and recreational activities, implementing and monitoring practices that will promote a healthier lifestyle, empowering participants to help them achieve their goals.
- Personal care (_bathing, dressing, grooming, prompting medication, meal preparation_).
- Social support (_in-home respite, shopping, social outings_).
- Transport (_medical appointments and outings to access the community_).
- Home Help (_light house duties - bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping and changing beds, etc._).

**Minimum requirements for all positions**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Foreign Nationals: International Police Check and Working Visa
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children’s Check - employee
- Australian Driver Licence
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 in line with Victorian Government Mandates.
- Mobile phone with access to the internet

COVID-19 considerations:
All Support Workers and Office Staff are vaccinated against COVID-19 according to the current Victorian Guidelines. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); masks, gloves, face shields, gowns are provided to workers.
