**About Our Facility**

Barwon Health is the largest health service in regional Victoria and based in Geelong, it is within commuting range from the west side of Melbourne. With approximately 9,000 employees, 30 sites and a broad range of services, Barwon Health plays a key role in the health and wellbeing of our local community and the Barwon South Western region. Our team of dietitians work in various services at University Hospital Geelong, the McKellar Centre and each of the four Community Health Centres.

**About the Role**

As the Dietitian - Grade 2 based at the McKellar Centre you will contribute to the nutritional care of consumers at the McKellar Mental Health & Wellbeing Unit. You will be required to contribute to, and be part of, the multidisciplinary team providing support to clients and carers to help them achieve an optimum level of health and independence via:

- Provision of client - centred care
- Contributing to the development and delivery of high quality, cost effective dietetics services
- Contributing to meeting relevant performance indicators (KPI’s)

All activities of the position will reflect current best practice and professional standards for nutrition and dietetics. The position will operate according to relevant legislation, Barwon Health policies, program and department guidelines.

Essential: Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
Desirable: A current Victoria drivers’ license or equivalent
Essential: Proven experience in one or more of the following: clinical nutrition, nutrition education, health promotion, nutritional support, paediatrics or rehabilitation

Essential: Ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritise accordingly
