Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Coffee Van Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our mobile coffee van, preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about coffee, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

**Coffee Preparation**: Prepare and serve a range of high-quality coffee drinks (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, lattes) and other beverages efficiently and to a high standard.

**Customer Service**: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, handling orders accurately and answering any questions about our menu.

**Cash Handling**: Process payments through cash and electronic systems, ensuring accurate transactions.

**Stock Management**: Monitor and manage stock levels (coffee beans, milk, cups, etc.), and inform management when supplies need replenishment.

**Van Operation**: Drive and park the van at designated locations, ensuring safe and legal operation of the vehicle.

**Health & Safety**: Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, keeping the van and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.

**Equipment Maintenance**: Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment, and report any mechanical issues to management.

**Scheduling**: Manage daily schedule to ensure timely arrival at designated locations, and notify management of any changes.

Skills and Qualifications

**Barista Skills**: Proven experience as a barista or in a similar role; knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.

**Customer Service**: Strong communication skills with a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

**Time Management**: Ability to manage time effectively, working independently.

**Attention to Detail**: Meticulous in preparing high-quality beverages and handling customer orders accurately.

**Driver’s License**: Valid manual driver’s license required.

**Basic Math Skills**: Comfort with handling cash and basic math.

**Physical Stamina**: Ability to stand for extended periods and carry supplies and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a mobile food or coffee business.
- Certificate in Food Safety or a similar credential.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Working Conditions

**Hours**:
Monday - Thursday: 7:30-11:30

Friday: 6:30-11:30

finish times can vary depending how busy the day is, but generally 11:30 at the very latest.

**Location**: Eagle Farm, involving travel to various designated spots.

**Environment**: Fast-paced, on-the-go environment; requires working independently outdoors.
