This is a fabulous position for someone who is looking to move into the top end of the print market and manage their own department. A strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a willingness to follow directions are qualities that will help you fit into our small, good-humoured team.

Bleux Print is a boutique printery that supplies directly to Studio Bleux (the design studio) in Surry Hills. There is constant contact between companies, suppliers and installers along with weekly production meetings and lunches.

**This role may suit**:

- an experienced pre-press person who is ready to have a more varied and hands-on production role.
- someone with a lot of print experience who wants to work in a more creative and boutique environment.
- a signage installer (with print experience) wanting to get off the tools and work in a more creative environment.

**To succeed in this role you will be/have**:

- Experience with large-format Mimaki UV digital print production utilising white and varnish inks (training offered)
- Running and operating a Fotoba cutting machine (training offered)
- Management skills to run and maintain a print production studio.
- Preparing files and outputting to large format digital equipment, economically and efficiently
- Product dispatch and production administration
- Management of stock, media and production supplies
- To ensure that all print jobs are completed under critical timelines with an emphasis on maximizing run-time efficiency and maintaining colour and quality control
- An inquiring mind and a problem solver. This is a role for an actively engaged, thoughtful person
- An understanding of the installation process of wall coverings and glazing films
- Maintenance and upkeep of equipment
- Must hold a current NSW drivers licence for the occasional running of errands (in Goget vehicles)

**About you**
- A strong background in the large format digital print industry, ideally with experience running a roll-to-roll variety of large format digital equipment and Caldera + Mimaki RIP software
- Ability to work autonomously, trouble-shoot and experiment with print techniques - someone who can think laterally
- Must have advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite software
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design and colour
- An interest in developing new techniques and products
- Ability to do site checks
- Well-presented, organised, tidy (with good personal hygiene)
- Pride and care in workmanship
- Flexible approach to work
- Reliable, team player - someone we can count on
- Able to work to meet deadlines

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Christmas bonus
