About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
- Lead the development and delivery of initiatives and resources that promote best practice in information sharing and risk assessment and management practice (in line with the MARAM Framework and building on foundational practice)
- Identify and address knowledge gaps and barriers and the development and delivery of targeted capability development plans for various workforces including, the central information sharing team, family violence practitioners, court support services case managers and clinicians
- Lead the development of targeted capability development plans for various workforces that increase awareness of information sharing legislation and build confidence in courts workforces in using relevant provisions appropriately in relation to family violence and child wellbeing
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external, to support the embedding and continuous improvement of information sharing
- Lead the development and distribution of reference material and guidelines in the provision of support of the reforms during and post implementation of the information sharing regimes
- Provide support to the FVPPU with the implementation of MARAM and other relevant initiatives
- Other duties as required, commensurate with the classification of the role.

About you
Demonstrated understanding of the nature and dynamics of family violence and knowledge of family violence community resources and services Demonstrated specialist knowledge of the Family Violence and Child Wellbeing Information Sharing Schemes.
