**Kids Dental Nurse**

Are you ready to bring smiles to children's faces and make a difference in their dental health journey? We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic **Junior Dental Nurse** to join our team. This casual permanent position with set roster is open to those currently studying or wishing to complete _Certificate III in Dental Assisting_.

Join our dental league and support our skilled paediatric dentist, Dr Soha Sharif. Your role will involve comforting and engaging with children, maintaining an organised, clean and efficient practice, and contributing to our team's ongoing commitment to high-quality patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Team up with dentists to support during dental procedures
- Engage and comfort children with your fun and approachable personality, while adapting to each child's personal and clinical needs
- Prepare and reassure patients before treatments
- Sterilise instruments with meticulous care
- Organise and coordinate in clinic rooms, the sterilisation room, and arrange equipment and consumables for general anaesthesia sessions
- Preplan daily tasks and operations with effective time management
- Provide treatment, oral hygiene education, and post-operative care instructions
- Work with the team to keep our clinic running efficiently
- Maintain patient records with exceptional detail
- Maintain the cleanliness of our practice, following daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance procedures
- Show a commitment to learning and abiding by infection control policies
- Keep the dental room clean, well-stocked, and ready for action
- Be willing to travel to Ipswich Day Hospital to support in general anaesthesia sessions (once Certificate III is gained)

**Roster and Location**:
This role operates on a set rotation roster at our clinic in Upper Mount Gravatt.
- _Week one:_ Monday 8:30am - 2:30pm, Tuesday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Wednesday 8:30am - 2:30pm, Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm.
- _Week two:_ Tuesday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Thursday 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm.
- _Once fully trained and hold a certificate in Dental Assisting_ there will be the addition of Monday's in week two to work at Ipswich Day hospital for General Anaesthesia sessions 6:30am - 4:30pm.
