Moves pallets of merchandise with a stand-up electric forklift/electric pallet jack on the sales floor. Stacks merchandise from partial pallets onto full pallets and wraps in plastic wrap. Ensures that pallets placed in steel meet Costco Standards. Assists with stocking merchandise, clearing the sales floor of debris, and checking signs for accuracy. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.

**Job Duties/Essential Functions**
- Complete daily forklift safety checklist. Hooks batteries up to battery charger
- Assist with creating drop list of merchandise for placement in aisles
- Communicate with floor managers to set priorities and determine merchandise placement
- Move pallets of merchandise using electric forklift and electric pallet
- Act as a spotter to alert forklift driver if something is falling and to keep people out of the fall-danger zone
- Wrap pallets in plastic wrap and attaches a merchandise tag
- Stack merchandise from partial pallets onto full pallets
- Remove empty pallets from the sales floor
- Rotate stock as necessary
- Ensure that all pallets being placed in steel meet Costco standards
- Assist with stocking
- Clear sales floor of debris
- Check merchandise sign accuracy
- Mark unmarked merchandise with item number
- Follow proper Merchandising and general safety procedures and standards
- Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
- Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers
- Ensure that the steel safety inspection checklist issues are rectified.

**_ Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery_**
- Forklift, electric pallet jack, pallet jack, battery charger, computer, calculator, shrink wrap machine, pallets, license labels, cutter, broom and writing utensils.

**Non-Essential Functions**
- Assists with front end duties and in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.

**_ Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery_**
- Cash register, table top/hand-held scanners, carts, flatbeds.
- Education/Training: High School Certificate or higher
- Licenses/Certifications: None
- Experience/Skills: Forklift driving, merchandising or comparable experience.
