In this role you will lead a dedicated team, responsible for the coordination of agendas and minutes, statutory compliance responsibilities, civic functions, and other key City documentation including policy, local laws etc.
We are looking for a person who:
- Can lead and effectively manage a small team
- Is familiar with interpreting legislation
- Has sound research and analytical skills enabling interpretation of information
- Can produce well-constructed and informative reports, pitched to a level appropriate for a busy local government
- Has strong computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite of products, intranet and web based software
- Has well developed time management and organisational skills
Previous experience in Local Government is essential for this role, preferably in a governance or senior administration role.
- Ability to understand relevant Acts and Regulations
- Demonstrated ability to undertake research, problem solve complex issues, and develop clear and concise briefing notes and discussion papers with supporting recommendations
- Demonstrated understanding of the Council decision making process, agendas and minutes
- Highly developed skills in people management
Along with a competitive gross annual salary of $103,919 to $110,654 you will also have access to:
- 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
