We are ready for anything. **The Role** The purpose of the role and your unique contributions is to improve and drive the maturity of the strategic Procurement function to deliver sustainable value across IAG’s 3rd party expenditure and support the business in making great strategic procurement decisions The role will lead a team who deliver strategic procurement and sourcing activities and support across the Group that meet our business needs, sustainability commitments and aspirations. This will be achieved within our risk appetite statement, regulatory requirements and other limits defined by the IAG Group. The role also leads or supports procurement initiatives relating to indigenous or sustainable 3rd party expenditure. **Key Responsibilities** - Accountability for the long-range planning and delivery of strategic sourcing activity (resulting in transaction values >5m or of strategic importance) in conjunction with product/service owners and other customer stakeholders. - Provide thought leadership and unique insights to support the planning and execution of IAG’s strategic priorities, contemporary operating model and business plan. - Contribute to both Procurement, Partnering, and Commercial’s (PP&C) and IAG’s performance with insights, collaborative input and expertise that promotes value creation, innovation, managed risk, and improved performance. - Develop and plan sourcing and procurement support for Services and Product roadmaps, enabling enterprise programs and strategic products and services for the Group, proactively looking for ways to improve the Groups position throughout each engagement. - Drive value across IAG’s 3rd party expenditure and support the business in making sound procurement decisions through the execution of best-in-class supply contracts. - Lead the go to market process (RFx), through to negotiation and contract execution, ensuring risk and policy compliance for new Partners and contracts. - Engage and manage external delivery resources to achieve Sourcing outcomes as required. - Take accountability for onboarding new suppliers and contracts and for leading the transition to PP&C team for ongoing management. - Lead external facing strategic sourcing analytics and insights. - Provide sourcing thought leadership to Product and Service owners, resolving conflicts and ambiguities between divisions and teams. - Establish and maintain mutually supportive, consistent and transparent relationships with all key stakeholders and partners (internal and external) - Ensure timely and accurate reporting against agreed deliverables. - Lead projects in such a way as toto eliminate inefficiencies, increase standardisation, automation, and effectiveness of processes. - Support governance by ensuring adherence to Group policies and that we manage risks within IAG’s Risk appetite. - Contribute to the team’s performance by taking on broader accountabilities that reflect your capabilities, skills and development goals to contribute to your squad’s success. - Demonstrate the IAG purpose and provide leadership to staff and partners that enables, promotes, and demands IAG behaviours at all times. **Skills & Experience** - 7+years Strategic Sourcing experience, including increasing the maturity and leading transformation change within Tier 1 financial institutions -driving material value “from the lens of the stakeholder” - Entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and active negotiation of international ITO and BPO outsourced service contracts - Excellent negotiation and commercial acumen skills, and extensive category, supplier and contract management experience - Extensive project and change management skills and understanding of how to drive continuous improvement and/or leverage technology to improve productivity - Strong understanding of best practices in end-to-end procurement function - Significant experience leveraging third party partner relationships and governance frameworks to drive material organisational-wide benefits - Ability to work collaboratively within a large company organisational structure - Strong experience operating and delivering results in a matrix environment and leveraging relations
