Chief Technology Officer

We have now reached the point in which we need someone to oversee the development and maintenance of our technology stack. We are looking for an experienced CTO that not only has a strong technical understanding of technology however can also organise and lead a high performing software development and IT team, contributing to both our AU and USA sites.
- Experienced Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a degree in relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science)
- Experience with any of Apache, Ubuntu, Git, AWS, or PostgreSQL is a plus
- Experience with third party PHP frameworks and CMSs is also a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of SOLID principles and OOP
- A passion for writing clean, efficient code
- Experience managing and developing a fast growing team and overall technology infrastructure including development processes in agile development methodologies (XP, Scrum, TDD).
- A natural leader with high energy levels along with amazing communication skills.
- A strong focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives. We focus heavily on improving processes using new technologies and need someone that can embrace this change to push efficiency improvements.
- Ability to develop metrics to track performance and optimise workflows or processes.
**You will be focused on**:
- Leading independent Engineering and Infrastructure Teams, developing and maintaining operations to ensure all business KPI’s are met
- Oversee and Advise on Technology investments including Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, RDS, Docker, MQ), Development Projects and IT Infrastructure.
- Overseeing and Advising on Security requirements both in the Cloud and Local.
- Provide oversight for support and resolution of development and IT issues as they are reported by staff.
- Minimising issues and downtime for production systems using testing frameworks and tools
- Development and implementation of continual process improvement including ‘best practice’ workflows and adoption by the Technology teams.
- Develop and Report on KPI’s, ensuring accountability and transparency in the Technology teams.
- Extending support to our USA branch as they continue to grow
This is a developing role with regular continual improvement, you will be helping improve the structure and processes while you work closely with the executive team and together keep all aspects of the business one step ahead as we continue to grow quickly.

Attractive remuneration (Negotiable based on experience) inc Base wage + SGC + Performance bonuses.
Hours of the role are 8:30am - 5pm Mon-Fri. Our site operates 24 hours, 5 days a week.
