You will be contributing to the effective and efficient operations of the waste facilities and other waste management programs and services and acting as a key point of contact for the day to day operations and service delivery of large scale, complex waste management facilities. This position will have you: - implementing and coordinating a range of assigned technical projects which are aimed at improving effectiveness and efficiencies in waste disposal and resource recovery processes and methods used - developing and reviewing operational procedures, manuals and work instructions relevant to the Waste Services department - ensuring waste management facilities and transfer stations comply with all legislation, approved standards, policies and procedures You will also be required to prepare reports, process correspondence and carry out associated administrative matters and undertake environmental health and safety and contractor compliance audits and awareness training programs across all Council's Waste Services facilities. Additionally you will be supporting the wider outputs of the Waste Services department and working as an integral part in supporting team outputs in the daily operations across a range of elements relevant to landfill and resource recovery operations. **Please note**: - Council currently has waste management facilities located at Bunya, Caboolture and Dakabin. - This role requires the participation in council's "After Hours On-Call and Programmed Overtime Roster" service. - This position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. **About you** You will also have a strong level of experience in building high quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have ability to work constructively and efficiently as part of a broader team of Waste Services team members.
