The Opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Valuer or Valuations Consultant to join our Rating and Taxation Team within our Sydney Economics & Property division.
As an Assistant Valuer you will undertake a range of valuation and property related tasks in an independent manner, work with other team members and develop and maintain client relationships. This role offers invaluable and varied work experience and exposure to industry specialists, while providing flexibility around study commitments.

**You will be**:

- Supporting our Sydney-based leadership (Associate Director and Director) and assist the management and growth of Urbis' national Rating, Taxation and Advisory Team (RTA).
- Providing support and responding to other team members in servicing internal and external client requests and meeting project requirements;
- Escalating work and requests to senior staff, where necessary;
- Developing relationships with peers in other Business Units throughout the firm;
- Attending property inspections with qualified Valuers;
- Undertaking online title and town planning searches;
- Reviewing and summarising lease documentation;
- Researching and analysing investment and development transactions;
- Collecting details in relation to property sales and rentals;
- Maintaining sales and rental databases;
- Compilation of and providing input into formal written advice and presentations;
**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Valuation either underway, at graduate or post graduate level are preferred, however not necessary;
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Effective report writing skills desirable
