About us
The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The role is rotatable through all jurisdictions within Heidelberg Magistrates Court.
As a Registrar of the Magistrates' Court, perform appropriate legal, administrative and quasi-judicial functions relating to the day-to-day and ongoing operations of the Court, under limited direction from the Registrar of the court.
**This includes**:
- Liaise with the judiciary, magistracy, external organisations, groups and individuals that interface with the court.
- Operate relevant computer systems, including casemanagement systems such as Courtlink, CMS, eDocs and other technologies.
- Assist with the direction, supervision and training of staff
About you
You will have Certificate IV in Government (Court Services) or equivalent
