Operations Supervisor

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for an energetic and driven Operations Supervisor who is ready to challenge themselves in a range of diverse corporate events and offerings, working alongside some of Australia’s most experienced venue professionals. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading the team in the delivery of successful events from an Operations perspective at Centerpiece and across the Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct.

Reporting to the Operations Manager - Centerpiece, the role has an essential people management responsibility, works closely with clients and hirers of our v enues, planning, delivery teams and business partners to plan, set up and deliver safe events.

You will oversee day to day venue upkeep; identify improvements in presentation, functionality, and efficiency; contribute to projects to improve facilities, assets, and operational processes. In addition, you will play an integral part in workforce management, recruitment and upskilling of Operations team members to ensure a depth of capability and safe work practices are embedded in everyday work.

The role has a clear and exciting development pathway into Venue & Event Management and other support areas of our business including Event Planning, Ticketing; Workforce Management ; Safety & Risk; Infrastructure to name a few. - Played a key role in the operational delivery of all events within CENTREPIECE, incl. AFL club B&F and Hall of Fame evenings, E-Sports with Dreamhack, and Industry Conferences AIME and VMA, ensuring every element of the venue set up is delivered to perfection
- Worked closely with our Operations Leadership teams and Workforce Planning teams to recruit a new intake of casual Operations team members
- Collaborate d with our Rigging and Audio/Visual teams for a cohesive b ump in and o ut of events.
- Operational planning for the Australian Open.
- Embraced that no one day is the same in this role. In conjunction with the delivery of events within CENTREPIECE, you will have the opportunity to work amongst your neighboring venues to learn and develop your abilities within M&OP, as well as project manage venue infrastructure maintenance and improvements. This will require you to have flexible availability across 7 days of the week, working full-time hours to meet the requirements of the CENTREPIECE and broader precinct event schedule.
