**Risk Manager | Sydney NSW**

The primary purpose of this Line 2 role is to support the development and implementation of a good governance framework which supports the implementation of a Risk Management Framework that satisfies local and global regulatory and Allianz SE requirements.

**You'll be responsible for**:

- Drive risk maturity by contributing to the evolution of the risk management framework supported by good governance standards which are capable of meeting the demands created by an increasingly dynamic and demanding operating, strategic and external environment.
- Contribute to the development and review of key risk management policies and procedures that support the Risk Management Strategy and the implementation of a strong risk governance framework for AAL.
- Support the implementation of the Risk Management Framework across the organisation through communication and support to Line 1 and Line 2 to embed the Risk Management Framework.
- Coordinate and support enterprise Risk Framework embedment activities by working closely with Line 2 Risk and Compliance Advisory Teams, Line 1 Risk Teams and Line 1 Owners / Process Owners including the preparation and collation of analysis and other workshop/presentation materials.
- Perform enterprise** **analysis of operational losses, risk incidents and near misses, aggregating and consolidating to an enterprise view with reporting prepared accordingly for Risk Committees, Allianz SE and Regulators.
- Foster collaboration across all Three Lines of Defence to ensure the successful delivery on Risk Maturity Targets for AAL.

**Important to your success**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, quality management or process design for a complex, matrixed corporate organisation.
- Experience in underwriting and/or insurance distribution with exposure to the operations of a general insurer, life insurer or financial services operation.
- Highly developed analytical skills, demonstrating the capability to analyse and interpret complex information from a broad range of sources (locally and internationally) and to present findings in a clear and compelling manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences with clarity, impact and influence, positively influencing risk behaviours throughout AAL.
