And it's why we need people like YOU. Come and shape our future with us and make a real and lasting impact across our teams.

Your opportunity:
At Urban Utilities, we’re committed to delivering smarter, more sustainable services — and that means using data and insight to drive better decisions and outcomes. As a Specialist Analyst in our Strategy and Planning team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we understand and respond to complex business challenges across IT, OT, and IoT environments and deliver on our Digital and Data Strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who brings deep analytical expertise and thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and influencing strategic direction. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to assess feasibility, model scenarios, and provide insights that support transformation and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice and technical leadership: Act as a trusted advisor in your area of specialisation, consolidating insights and guiding operational leaders in translating strategy into action.- Drive requirements and problem definition, and stakeholder alignment: Plan and lead high level requirements definition for small, large or complex initiatives, negotiating priorities and ensuring alignment with business and organisational goals so that our colleagues can manage them throughout the delivery lifecycle.- Deliver process improvement at scale: Lead the execution of business process improvements, tailoring and implementing tools and methods that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across programs and teams.- Model complex business scenarios: Develop and present advanced business models that support strategic objectives, using your expertise to guide stakeholders through ambiguity and complexity.- Advise on solution validation and quality assurance: Provide guidance on how solutions can be validated against business needs, contributing to quality assurance practices and ensuring alignment with organisational standards.- Build strong relationships across the business: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating open communication and supporting informed, collaborative decision-making.

About you:
You’re a curious and collaborative problem-solver who thrives on turning complexity into clarity. Whether your strengths lie in business analysis, service design, or strategic thinking, you bring a thoughtful, people-centred approach to your work and a passion for making things better.

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior analytical or technical role, ideally within IT, OT, or IoT environments.- A strong track record of leading complex analysis, modelling, or process improvement initiatives that support strategic and operational outcomes.- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to lead workshops and collaborative sessions with confidence.- Expertise in defining and managing business requirements, assessing feasibility, and developing robust business cases.- Experience contributing to organisational standards, policies, or best practices in your area of specialisation.- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively across all levels.- A collaborative, proactive approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.- A relevant tertiary qualification in design, information technology, computer science, data analytics, or a related field or a combination of formal training and experience that is equivalent.- While not essential, having technical certifications—particularly in IT, cybersecurity, or service management—would be an advantage. We're looking for someone who can confidently engage with technical teams, understand complex systems, and help translate that into practical actions and strategies.- Experience in the water industry or a regulated utility environment is highly desirable.
