- To make sound business decisions consistent with the commercial objectives of the program
- Develop and manage relationships with the client, internal and external partners key to the overall success of the program
- Lead or co-lead the program end-to-end (in line with approved governance processes) with a proactive approach to risk management and commercial development of the client relationship
- Lead or co-lead the development of further commercial opportunities in collaboration with the Sales & Presales teams
- Establish business plan identifying program/delivery requirements and resources required to deliver it
- Reporting to Executive on program/pre-sales performance and progress
- Ensure a proactive continuous improvement approach and quality controls are duly implemented within the program to maximise client satisfaction as well as cost efficiency.
- Align and work towards APAC Public Security & Citizen Identity business goals, including assisting in the definition of the wider business strategy of a given portfolio
- Drive the development of the business within the said portfolio by ensuring in particular a high level of client satisfaction
- Manage and mitigate programs/delivery and organisational risks
- High level of teamwork with department members, corporate and APAC Sales organisation
- Manage client stakeholders in home affairs, to ensure the program and contractual commitments are delivered with quality
- Work with global teams and attend calls during evenings with teams in Europe, where necessary.
**Key Performance Indicators**:
- Contribute towards the commercial objectives of the Department/Region (revenue, margin, invoicing and cashflow)
- Build and establish commercial opportunities with Region Sales VP
- Maintain and improve the delivery objectives
- Delivery in cost, time and quality
- Responsive and accountable to the customer.
- Timely reporting on program/delivery progress.
**To be successful in this role, you should have**:
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Very strong drive and commercial acumen
- Effective team player and customer focus
- Experience in planning, monitoring and controlling programs
- Experience of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile)
- Experience in dealing with Government procurement and Government project delivery
- Good budgeting and resource management skills
- Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good understanding of Solution Sales & Pre-Sales
- Solid knowledge of Public Security solutions and technologies including biometrics
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification, PRINCE2 or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of project management or IT Management.
- Working experience in Biometric industry and/or law enforcement strongly desired.
- An ability to obtain and retain a security clearance is a condition of employment for this role. A pre-existing clearance is strongly preferred
- Australian citizen is mandatory
- NV1 Security Clearance and OSA Clearance, preferred
- Good understanding of Australia Government processes
- Canberra based is preferred, alternative will be in Sydney.
- Minimally must be committed to a 2-3 year program.
