**About the Role**

As Policy Lead, you will drive the coordination and delivery of policy and legislative initiatives across icare. You’ll lead work to ensure icare’s interests are represented and aligned with government priorities. This includes developing robust, evidence-based policy advice, preparing high-quality ministerial briefings, submissions, and reports, and managing complex policy projects with multiple stakeholders. You’ll also keep a close eye on emerging issues, ensuring icare remains proactive and prepared in an evolving policy landscape

**Your story so far**:
You’re an experienced policy professional with a strong machinery of government understanding, cabinet processes, and legislative frameworks. With at least five years in policy or a related field, you bring proven skills in research, analysis, and strategic problem-solving. You thrive on navigating complex, politically sensitive issues and are confident in presenting advice that stands up to scrutiny. Stakeholder engagement is your strength—you’re collaborative, consultative, and skilled at building trusted relationships inside and outside of government. Above all, you’re motivated by the opportunity to shape policy that delivers genuine public value.
