**LEARN TO SWIM INSTRUCTOR**
**CASUAL
Cranbrook School is seeking casual Learn to Swim Instructors to join its brand new, state of
the art Aquatic & Fitness Centre, based at the Senior School campus at Bellevue Hill.

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Reporting to the Learn to Swim Coordinator, the role will be responsible for the
implementation of safe, professional and well-organised Learn to Swim lessons.

The Learn to Swim Instructor will provide swimming lessons to individuals, students and
groups in a safe, fun and educational environment according to the Learn to Swim curriculum
and framework.

Using encouragement, positive reinforcement and continuous feedback, the Learn to Swim
Instructor will improve the swimming ability of participants and help them reach their full
potential.

The Learn to Swim Instructor will continuously seek opportunities to grow and improve their
own skills and their teaching techniques.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are an enthusiastic Learn to Swim professional who has a passion for delivering high
quality swimming lessons. You understand the importance of safety procedures and are able
to create an inclusive learning environment that is also enjoyable for all participants. You
have a customer service focus and are committed to providing an excellent user experience.

**Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated understanding of competency-based development programs- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent)
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Previous experience working in an aquatic or fitness centre or independent school and
additional AUSTSWIM qualifications will be advantageous.

The position will be paid significantly above the Award, at a level determined by skills and
