**Role Summary**:
The Mechanical Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity based at our Kwinana Power Station site. The objective of the role is to carry our high level technical and supervisory activities associated with the operation and maintenance of Kwinana Gas Turbine Plants within and external to Synergy.

Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, The Technical Officer (Kwinana) will primarily be responsible for planned and corrective maintenance and outage activities at Kwinana / Cockburn Gas Generation site.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Undertake operations and maintenance work at Kwinana and Cockburn Gas Generation facilities as per business requirements
- Plan, supervise, coordinate, or carry out activities, associated with the manufacture, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment as well as associated systems as required
- Carry out technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendations and/or arrange necessary action
- Manage maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget and schedule whilst maintaining quality standards
- Prepare and assess designs, calculations, estimates, sketches, specifications, and tenders, working drawings and schedules

**What you’ll bring**:

- Certificate IV or above in Mechanical discipline
- A trade certificate in Mechanical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the maintenance and operation of Gas Turbines or power generating plant
- Strong knowledge of inspection/testing practices and experienced in equipment maintenance/repair practices.
- Skilled in Power Generation equipment maintenance, commissioning, and operation practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications and familiar / proficient in CMMS.
