**Our sustainability Journey**

As one of Australia’s biggest and most trusted businesses, Australia Post has a responsibility and opportunity to create a more sustainable future that benefits all Australians. Our 2025 Sustainability Roadmap outlines what we will do to deliver on that future. One that sees us meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.

Our Sustainability Roadmap is underpinned by the UN Sustainable Development Goals, interconnects with our Post26 enterprise strategy, and is built around six key initiatives. Our Ethics, TIES values and Our AP Way describe the culture we need to deliver on those initiatives and will ensure we address what our people, customers and communities have told us they want and expect from Australia Post.

This includes an ambitious and inspiring program of decarbonisation that will help Australia Post deliver for our planet. We have already invested in Australia’s largest electric delivery fleet, installed over 23,000 solar panels and energy efficient lights and diverted 85,000kg of e-waste from landfill.

By further investments in our renewable energy and electric fleet, reducing waste and expanding our sustainable packaging range. We are seeking to reach a target of Net Zero as a business by 2025. Not only helping us reduce our emissions but also helping our customers deliver on their Scope 3 emissions targets.

**About the opportunity**

We are looking for a Decarbonisation Specialist with a Sustainability Mindset who can help us deliver on the decarbonisation aspects of our sustainability road map.

With the strategy set, you will be executing, tracking and reporting on the projects that will get us to our goals. You will be working with key team members within our business to help make the changes that will achieve our goals.

**You’ll also**
- Shepherd through individual decarbonisation projects as part of the overall agenda, project managing them to the embedding of the particular change.
- Supporting the execution of the sustainability roadmap; striving to reach the achievements contained within.
- Lead the integration of environmental considerations into key business unit activities.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities to reduce our environmental impact and enhance customer value.
- Provide business units with practical advice and information.

**About you**

You will be a committed sustainability professional, with some key experience demonstrating your ability to drive through change within a business. In this role you will need to work with stakeholders to show them the benefits of change, you will be able to sell the need for change at different levels and you will have the tenacity to help drive it through layers of an organisation.

**You’ll also need**
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability strategy, it’s context and relevant policies at a state, national and global level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of environmental impact management, including energy, waste management, impacts to land, air and water. Any experience in the transport industry is looked at highly desirable (not essential though). Excellent communication skills, across different media. You will be able to present in person, and on video calls. As well as making convincing arguments in writing. You will be able to liaise at different levels and use a high degree of empathy to understand stakeholders incentives.
