Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.

The Gallery attracts around 1.4 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.

With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the Role**

Produce dynamic programs and interpretive content that support the Gallery’s strategic plan of connecting with existing and potential audiences more effectively.

**What technical / soft skills you require**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or relevant, equivalent professional experience in the field of expertise most relevant to the role.
- Experience in devising and delivering programmes which engage diverse audiences with art coupled with proven ability to set program objectives and reach targets on time and within budget.
- Excellent working knowledge of art history, with strengths in Australian, European and/or contemporary art.
- Ability to work flexible hours, with late night and weekends.
