Purchasing and Inventory Controller

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team.
As the Purchasing and Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain by implementing inventory policies and best practices.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Forecasting supply and demand requirements to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Managing, purchase orders, supplier pricing and supplier records
- Monitoring supplier production schedules, customs clearance, and arrival times
- Contribute to the development and improvement of existing systems and procedures
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to improve pricing, lead times, payment terms and quality control
- Monitor stock issues, returns and wastage and ensure timely claims are processed and root causes are identified
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize obsolete and excess stock
**To excel in this role, you will need**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory or supply chain management, with a focus on overseas suppliers
- Proficiency in NetStock Inventory Software or similar forecasting tools
- Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
- Solution-oriented with proactive problem-solving capabilities
- Strong commitment to accuracy
- Ability to self-manage time effectively to prioritise and meet deadlines
