An opportunity to join the permanent team at Samuel Gilbert Out of School Hours Care has become available. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and passionate part time Educator. We are also seeking Casual Educators to join our team on a regular basis.

**About the service**:

- Located in the grounds of Samuel Gilbert Public School in Castle Hill with a supportive School P&C.
- Not for profit community based and purpose built service operating for 32 years.
- Medium to large service licensed for 145 children.
- Part time or casual position working before and after school care.
- 30 hours per week negotiable with opportunity for growth and flexibility with hours/shifts for a permanent position.
- A service supportive of paid professional development.
- A service offering above award wage and split shift allowance. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

**About The Role**:

- Permanent and casual positions are working on the floor, with the potential for permanent educators to also take on admin hours.
- Facilitate intentional and spontaneous activities that align with the National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework.
- You will be expected to implement and evaluate a quality program that is inclusive of the My Time Our Place Framework principles.
- Actively supervise and engage with children.
- Participate in reflective practices and share your ideas with a team of passionate educators and leaders.

**What you will need**:

- Certificate IV in School Age Education and Care, Diploma in Out of School Hours Care, Diploma in Children’s Services, Early Childhood trained or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in Out of School Hours Care or the Early Childhood Sector.
- Understanding of The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations**.** You will be required to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.
- Hold a current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management (HTAID004) certificate or willing to obtain.
- Valid Working with Children Check Clearance Number and National Police Certificate or willing to obtain.
- Child Protection accredited qualifications or willing to obtain.
- Full COVID Vaccination status
