Alfred Hotel (est 1939), is currently seeking an energetic, responsible, organized and experienced Café manager.

We offer a range of short and long-term accommodation options catering to singles, couples and groups of up to five people sharing. We also have various dining options (including café) in our venue. Whether guests are visiting for a quick coffee, a leisurely brunch, lunch, late afternoon treat, sports on TV, classic pub grub & craft beer, or hearty dinner, Alfred Hotel ensures exceptional service and a warm, welcoming environment.

**About the Roles**:
The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of café operations to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both staff and customers. This role includes managing daily operations, staff, inventory, and financial aspects to drive the café’s success and profitability.

Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following
- Foster a welcoming and warm atmosphere for customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure quality, monitor daily food and beverage sales.
- Train staff to improve service delivery and customer interaction, and the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
- Recruit, train, and manage café staff, create roster and address any performance issues.
- Contribute to seasonal/special menu ideas and collaborate with chefs to update the menu to align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
- Manage inventory, track levels, place orders, and conduct audits to prevent shortages and waste.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure product quality.
- Monitor and manage the café’s budget, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Analyse financial data to enhance profitability, execute marketing promotions, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Oversee daily operations, ensure venue cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- ⁠Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost business reputation
- Handle customer complaints and use feedback to improve overall café experience

**What you'll require is**:

- Minimum of 2 years work experiences or more in a similar position in a busy environment.
- Minimum of a Diploma level qualification related to hospitality management (preferred)
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Positive and right attitude
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, collaborate and motivate a team.
- Experience in a similar position and environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
