Work hours will be rostered between 7.30am - 6pm (QLD time).

**The Role**:
As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be at the heart of our communication, ensuring precision, speed, and confidentiality in every piece of medical correspondence. Here's what you'll be doing:

- **Typing with Precision**: Accurately transcribe urgent and routine medical letters and reports, maintaining a speed of at least 70 words per minute with over 95% accuracy.
- **Collaboration**:Work closely with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and administrative staff to manage document flow, ensuring timely review, correction, and dispatch.
- **Support Systems**: Manage telephone enquiries, prepare after-hours and on-call doctors inpatient handover lists and embrace new technology as we continuously evolve our IT systems.
- **Communication**: Be the voice of professionalism, providing clear, friendly, and effective communication both within the team and with external stakeholders.

**Who You Are**:

- **Experienced Medical Transcriptionist**: Competent with a minimum of 3 years in a medical typing/transcription role.
- **Audio Transcription Skills**: Previous experience transcribing audio files.
- **Self-Starter**:Able to work autonomously with a keen eye for detail**.**:

- **Specialised Experience (preferred)**: Preferred previous experience in Medical Oncology, Haematology and Radiation Oncology.
- **Tech-Savvy**: Proficient in the use of computer hardware, Windows based and medical practice software packages.
