Job Description Summary
To lead the team to achieve the best outcome collecting overdue debt and providing first class underwriting to bring on new business in accordance with current policies.
Pro-actively identify process improvements and liaise with internal and external third parties as required to deliver innovative solutions.
Build and develop positive relationships with all internal and external colleagues, suppliers and clients.
**Job Description**:
On a daily basis
To work with the Senior Collections Officer and Senior Underwriter (Senior Officers) to ensure appropriate availability and allocation of resource.
To highlight any issues and their potential impact to senior management.
On a Weekly Basis
Meet with the Senior Officers to discuss performance and development requirements including reviewing any blockers such as approval authorities and unnecessary tasks.
Make sure any regular meetings with internal customers are attended or advance notice given if not possible.
On a Monthly Basis
Conduct one to one meetings with all Direct Reports. Main focus for Senior Officers is to build knowledge and skills to take on full people management roles.
Non-Routine
Work with Risk Management to review existing policies and processes.
Participate in projects to implement change as required.
