Blind Assembly

**About the business and the role**

Accent Blinds in Queensland is a very well established manufacturing business based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. We are looking for a committed individual to help with our Blind production. This will be a **casual position**.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**

This will be Mon-Fri 7am-12.30pm.

Your main duties would involve:
**Fabric Receipting**

As part of the daily process, fabric is receipted and labelled ready for cutting. Stock ordered fabric is stored.
- You will assist in the receiving of fabric
- Ensure front floor is clear of fabric

**Cutting Assistant**

As part of the daily process, fabric is collected for cutting, and later stored away for future use. You will be responsible to ensure the cutting process runs quickly, smoothly and efficiently.
- Collecting fabric for cutting
- Assist in load and unloading fabric
- Clearing fabric waste
- Store used fabric rolls
- Updating the fabric register with fabric locations

You will over time learn to use the cutting machine

Other duties would involve:

- Clear out obsolete fabrics
- Rearranging fabric to ensure efficient use of space
- Clear cardboard tubes and inner cores
- Other tasks as directed

You will be expected to learn all other aspects of roller assembly also, from cutting to assembly and packing.

**Pay**

$28.30/hr + Super

- You need to be able to work in a team environment
- Be able to stand for long periods of time
- Have own car and licence
- Quick with your hands, and have an eye for detail
- Be a motivated individual with the ability to learn new tasks quickly

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
