Our client is after a Wharf Allocator that contributes by ensuring all elements of fleet operation requirements are met efficiently with maximum

optimization of vehicles, drivers, sub-contractors, and equipment.

Communicating with clients and colleagues regarding wharf activities and delivery status updates (including wharf/traffic delays, delivery ETA’s

etc.) The Wharf Allocator promotes positive customer relations and ensures that their employers’ resources are being used effectively.

**About the Role**
- Planning, coordinating, and allocating deliveries and pickups ensuring the fleet is always utilized to its maximum efficiency and capacity.
- Continually strive to improve systems and processes in liaison with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure dangerous goods and load weights are in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Ensure driver work schedules are in accordance with fatigue management regulations.
- Record and escalate to Operations Manager any issues and/or service requirements.
- Ensure all relevant data is entered accurately into required systems (Systems: Freight Tracker, One Stop, Container Chain, Excel etc)

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED**
- Previous experience within the transport sector at a similar level, preferably for a haulage group.
- The ability to solve issues with outside-of-the-box thinking, and ultimately contribute to the company’s continued expansion
- Customer Service advocacy
- A results-driven individual who is resilient, and adaptable, with a positive mindset, and a high level of integrity.
- The ability to handle various projects simultaneously and independently
