We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Human Resources team in a challenging and rewarding Administrative Officer role.

The position description applies to multiple roles across the full range of the Human Resources processes and systems providing administrative and customer service support. A high level of attention to detail, flexibility and time management skills will contribute to the successful delivery of the client services across the work of the HR unit.

The incumbent will contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting and assisting colleagues in a proactive and timely manner to meet goals and deadlines. You will liaise with all unit's across Council and deal with frequent ad hoc staff queries.

**About the role**:
The successful incumbent will perform administrative duties across one or more of the HR Teams, based on the needs at the time. The following outlines the focus of each of the teams within the Human Resources Unit. This role will contribute to the outcomes of these teams, and your willingness to be adaptable and flexible will be highly regarded.
- Establishment_

Oversees Council’s employee records and reporting; and manages employee arrangements throughout the employment life cycle, from on-boarding, flexible work arrangements, parental leave, phased retirements and employee departures.
- Learning and Development (L & D) _

Coordinates, develops and delivers a broad range of learning and development opportunities for staff across all levels and areas of the organisation aligned with individual needs and organisational capability requirements.
- Recruitment_

Provides an in-house recruitment service for the management of Council vacancies, internal secondments and development opportunities.
- Work Health and Safety (WHS)_

Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of Council’s work, health and safety system, injury management and health and wellbeing programs, with a focus on safety and wellness within the culture of the organisation.
