Our client is a leading company in the food service sector. They are currently looking for 20 process workers to work in their facility based in Murarrie, Queensland.
In this role you will be supporting the Primary Processing Plant in processing, inspecting and packing raw chicken meat. You will be working in a cold, wet environment and must be able to deal with deceased birds and the smell of livestock. You must be flexible to cover various shifts and weekend work as and when the need arises in order to support the team.
You will be paid under an EBA - Level 1 at an hourly rate of $22.06 per hour, and a 1-year contract with an average minimum of 38 hours per week.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Processing, inspecting and packing raw chicken meat
- Manual handling duties - lifting, pulling, pushing, bending and reaching
- Storing and maintaining materials, equipment and tools
- Identifying and escalating Animal Welfare, Food Safety & Quality issues, hazards and risks
**Key Skills & Experience**
- Stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in a cold, wet environment with dead birds
- Repetitive work, lifting up to 20kg
- Able to work weekends, public holidays
