About this opportunity*
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner to work with us to take production planning at our Blacktown site to the next level. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you will develop and deliver an optimised production schedule in terms of plant efficiencies, labour utilisation and DIFOT performance, to achieve sales and production targets aligned with our business objectives.
You will facilitate and help improve processes, as well as provide timely analysis and insights to drive decision making focused on the best outcome for the customer and business.
**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Plan manufacturing to meet demands of volume, quality and delivery in line with forecasts
- Manage production plans to ensure resources and processes are utilised in a way that optimises inventory, machinery, labour and facilitates the achievement of sales plans and production targets
- Liaise closely with Production, Quality, Sales Support and Technical personnel in relation to demand planning and sales forecasts
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, stock replenishment and continuously monitor inventory levels
- Develop production and preventative maintenance schedules, raw materials (resin etc) requirements, systems infrastructure, and stock levels in accordance with the Site operational budgets and parameters

Highly motivated and committed to safety, people, quality, and plant performance, you’ll bring your knowledge of production planning gained within a manufacturing environment, as well as your desire to lead teams on the production floor.
**To be successful in this role, you’ll have**:

- Experience in a similar role within FMCG
- Solid understanding of production planning, manufacturing lead times, production capacity and limitations.
- Superior analytical skills with proficiency in SAP (SP1) and Microsoft Excel;
- Experience developing and implementing strategies to ensure continual growth and improvement.
- Continuous Improvement and problem-solving mindset
- Strong analytical capability with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Negotiation and influencing ability
- Experience using business intelligence reporting tools (desirable)
