**Your new role**:
The Volunteer Program Manager will play a key role in operationalizing Uniting’s volunteer strategy, focusing on resourcing, supporting, and developing volunteer opportunities across various areas of the organization’s work. Based in the Mission and Equity Division, the Manager will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and local volunteer leaders to ensure the successful management and delivery of volunteer programs. A core responsibility will be overseeing the implementation of Uniting’s Volunteer Strategy, ensuring alignment with quality systems, policies, and processes.
In this role, the Volunteer Program Manager will:
- Advocate for and embed a contemporary approach to volunteering across the organization.
- Design and implement a comprehensive model of training, development, and resources for volunteer leaders
- Integrate volunteering deeply into Uniting’s culture
- Expand and develop existing volunteering opportunities, including group and church congregation involvement.

**Your skills and experience**:
You will possess a tertiary qualification related to people management, volunteering or community development in fields such as HR, Training, Education, or Community Development.
You will also have:
- Significant experience in end-to-end program design, delivery, and evaluation, with a focus on continuous quality improvement.
- Proven ability to manage staff and lead volunteer program development, training, and resource management.
- Strong track record in project management, delivering projects on time and within budget, with experience in implementing and establishing new programs.
- Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with senior stakeholders, balancing competing demands in a matrix management environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting, presentations, and facilitating sessions, with experience managing complex issues across organizational boundaries.
